In the US, he also met with US Vice President Kamala Harris, leaders of the US Congress, the national security advisor, and several members of the US cabinet. Vietnam fetches over $38bn in agro-forestry-fishery exports in Jan-Sep
Vietnam's agro-forestry-fishery exports generated $38.48 billion revenue in January-September, down 5.1 percent year on year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. Agricultural exports accounted for over half of the total, at $19.54 billion, up 17 percent year on year. Key export earners were vegetables and fruits ($4.2 billion), rice ($3.66 billion), cashew nuts ($2.61 billion), and coffee ($3.16 billion). The average rice export price reached $553 per metric ton during the nine-month period, rising 14 percent. The price of coffee exports also picked up 10 percent to hit nearly $2,500 per metric ton. Asia was the major importer of Vietnam’s agro-forestry-fishery exports with $18.71 billion worth of products in January-September. Prime Minister holds talks with Brazilian President
The two sides expressed their pleasure at growth in trade, with two-way trade value reaching nearly 6.8 billion USD in 2022 and nearly 3.3 billion USD in the first half of this year, affirming Brazil’s position as Vietnam’s leading and most promising partner in Latin America. The two sides agreed to raise two-way trade to 10 billion USD by 2025 and 15 billion USD by 2030. They also consented to continue promoting the beginning of negotiations over a free trade agreement between Vietnam and the Southern Common Market ( MERCOSUR ), to strengthen business, trade, and investment cooperation between Vietnam and MERCOSUR member countries. ASEAN-Cambodia Business Summit held in Phnom Penh
The two-day event features a premium networking event as well as bringing together leaders from Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam to promote economic integration within the region and the rest of the world. Martin Brisson, Executive Director of EuroCham Cambodia, said that the purpose of the event was to promote Cambodia as an alternative investment destination to European companies.
