Vietnam steps up trade promotion in Cambodia

Opening of first ever OCOP-POS showroom in Hanoi
OCOP-POS, a store chain focused on displaying and distributing products in the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program, is expected to contribute to the consumption of verified domestic goods. Hanoi's consumers can now shop OCOP products at the first Point of Sale (POS) showroom in Noi Bai Industrial Zone, Quang Tien Commune, Soc Son district, on the outskirts of Hanoi. Apartment owners, developers at odds over communal area loophole
Tran Khanh, chairman of the Hanoi Building Management Operating Club, said the law does not spell out which areas belong to owners and which are commonly owned, and this is causing disagreements between the owners and building managements. A 2010 decree states that the two areas must be delineated clearly in apartment sale contracts, but another decree in 2015 does not do so, he said. Developers take advantage of it and do not designate shared areas, while buyers usually only worry about their apartment and do not care about shared spaces until later, he said. Nguyen Manh Ha, deputy chairman of the Vietnam National Real Estate Association, said some developers make false claims to sell before taking ownership of shared areas. First litchi exports to China by rail
The Customs Department of Dong Dang International Railway Station in the northern border province of Lang Son has piloted the transportation of litchi to China by rail to cope with the huge backlog of goods along the border during the harvest season. The Customs Department of Dong Dang International Railway Station has piloted the transportation of litchi to China. According to the department, some 20 containers have been exported on each train during the pilot period. It costs about VND 30 million to transport a refrigerated container and around VND 20 million for a normal container from Vietnam's Bac Giang Province to China's Pingxiang City by train. The transportation time is approximately 12 hours. "The train transportation cost is just a bit cheaper than the road, but much faster," the department said.
