(Photo: SGGP) Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam made a field trip with his delegation to inspect the prevention of dengue fever and vaccination against Covid-19 in Ho Chi Minh City on June 30, accompanied by Standing Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen and Vice Chairwoman of HCMC People's Committee Phan Thi Thang. Dengue fever cases increased by 172.5 percent MD-Dr. Nguyen Van Vinh Chau, Deputy Director of the Department of Health of HCMC, informed that by June 29, the cumulative number of dengue cases in the city was 20,952, an increase of 172.5 percent compared to the same period last year, including ten deaths. President urges actions to handle health sector’s crisis
The State leader attended a ceremony on June 28 to mark the 50th founding anniversary of Vietnam Pharmaceutical Corporation (Vinapharm), where he presented the first-class Labour Order to the corporation. Vietnam hands over more remains of US soldiers missing in action

(Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam Office for Seeking Missing Persons (VNOSMP) handed over remains of American soldiers missing in action during the war in Vietnam to the US in a ceremony held at Da Nang International Airport on June 30. The US side included representatives from the US Embassy in Hanoi and the US Missing in Action (MIA) Office in Hanoi (DET2). The two sets of remains returned to the US side this time were the results of the two countries’ 146th and 147th joint searches from February to June. Examined by both Vietnamese and American forensic specialists in Da Nang, they were found to potentially link to missing US servicemen in Vietnam. They will be sent to Hawaii for further examination. Vietnam returns 2 US soldiers’ remains
The Vietnamese Office for Seeking Missing Persons held a handover ceremony in Da Nang City attended by officials from the U.S. embassy and the U.S. office for searching for soldiers missing in action in Hanoi, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement. The remains were found following a joint search by the two sides over the last five months. They were examined by Vietnamese and American forensic experts, who concluded they might belong to American soldiers from the Vietnam War (1955 – 1975). The remains will be sent to Hawaii, the U.S., for further examination. After a life spent hiding, Vietnamese burn victim steps into the spotlight with bakery
After suffering severe burns across his face as a child, Ngo Quy Hai, a 27-year-old from Vietnam’s Central Highlands, has managed to shed the physical and emotional burden of his injury and become the successful owner of Sunhouse Coffee – a well-known pastry shop in Plei Kan Town, Ngoc Hoi District, Kon Tum Province. Hai burned his face when he was just a few months old after falling out of a walker and landing face first on a boiling pot of porridge. His parents rushed him to Children’s Hospital No. 1 in Ho Chi Minh City where he received medical treatment for almost two years. While doctors at the hospital were able to save Hai’s life, his injuries left him so scary that other children refused to play with him.
