Irish boy band Westlife thrilled Vietnamese audiences on Tuesday night by revealing their plan to come back to Vietnam for a live concert scheduled for November 22. The band wrote on their Facebook account that “Vietnam! We are so excited to be coming back with the Wild Dreams tour on 22nd November 2023.” Their live concert will take place at Thong Nhat Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, according to their Facebook post. Hanoi to host Autumn Festival in late September
At a press briefing for the event on September 20, Nguyen Mai Anh, deputy director of Hanoi Centre for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion (HPA), which is hosting the event, said, “The festival aims to promote Hanoi as a tourist destination and showcase the city's unique culture and cuisine.” The event is expected to host representatives from 14 different cities and provinces, all seeking to promote their own tourism products and services, including Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Hai Duong, Thai Binh, and Ninh Binh. Legendary music group Westlife to wow Vietnamese audiences in November
According to the group's official fanpage, tickets for this concert will be on sale from September 26. The music night will take place at Thong Nhat Stadium - with a capacity of about 15,000 spectators. The four members - Mark, Kian, Shane and Nicky - are expected to perform hits such as Uptown Girl, Seasons in the Sun, Flying Without Wings, No One's Gonna Sleep Tonight and many other famous songs. Westlife's The Wild Dreams Tour kicked off in 2020, but had to be postponed for two years due to the epidemic, and some members had health problems. The group has performed more than 60 shows in Asia and Europe. Among them, the show in Dublin (Ireland) - the group's hometown - on July 8-9 attracted more than 87,000 spectators. Vietnam had a good start in men’s football at the 19th Asian Games tournament in China with a 4-2 victory against Mongolia in their opening match in Hangzhou on Tuesday. IFC invests in Vietnam’s first local currency sustainability bonds
The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, announced on Tuesday that it is investing up to VND3.5 trillion (US$150 million) in Vietnam's first-ever local currency sustainability-linked bonds (SLBs) issued by BIM Land Joint Stock Company and its subsidiary, Thanh Xuan Joint Stock Company. The first local currency SLBs in Vietnam aim to help issuers expand their businesses while creating jobs, boosting competitiveness, and supporting the country's low-carbon growth model. IFC's investment comprises two subscriptions—over VND2.3 trillion (about $100 million) to be issued by BIM Land, a tourism and property developer in Vietnam, and nearly VND1.2 trillion (about $50 million) to be issued by Thanh Xuan Joint Stock Company.
