An additional 1,587 new Covid-19 infections were confirmed on Friday, raising the national tally to over 10.70 million, according to the Ministry of Health. According to the ministry's report, most of the new patients are locally-transmitted cases confirmed in 48 out of 63 localities in the country with some localities seeing the highest numbers including Hanoi (373), Phu Tho (102), Vinh Phuc (92), Nghe An (66), and Yen Bai (65). As of Friday evening, the number of Covid-19 patients in Vietnam has increased to over 10.70 million. The country now stands 12th among 227 countries and territories worldwide in the number of infections. On May 20, an additional 7,151 more patients recovered from the disease, raising the number of recoveries in the country to over 9.39 million. The activity was in celebration of the 132nd birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - 2022), towards the 8th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations (May 27, 2014 - 2022), and 47th founding anniversary of Military Hospital 175 (May 26, 1975 - 2022). The tree-planting activity attracted the participation of a lot of local people who first joined the event with curiosity and then with excitement after learning the significance of the event. Some actively asked for more trees to plant and take care of the trees themselves. This activity was meaningful to both improving the landscape of the place for medical examination and treatment and boosting the two hospitals’ bond. The province started the construction of the exhibition house on October 17, 2018 and inaugurated the house on May 19, 2022 on the occasion of the 132nd birthday anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh. The project was built on the campus of Nguyen Sinh Sac relic site at a total cost of VND 9.5 billion. The house displays more than 200 photos and items which are divided into six sections. These sections highlighted the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh through many historical periods from 1890 to 1969.
