The volume, excluding transited goods not unloaded at seaports, included 61.95 million tonnes of exports (up 2 percent), 67.49 million tonnes of imports (down 9 percent), and 110.99 million tonnes of domestic goods (up 10 percent). Container throughput also increased 2 percent to over 8.3 million TEUs during the period. The administration said 2 percent is the slowest growth in recent years though Vietnam has entered the post-pandemic new normal. $4.33 million industrial wastewater plant inaugurated in Binh Duong Province
The first plant applies biological technology with capacity of between 10,000 cubic meters and 18,000 cubic meters per day to treat industrial wastewater into clean water for daily use and production to meet the Ministry of Natural resources and Environment and the Ministry of Health’s requirements. Its capacity is twice higher than wastewater discharged from the Song Than Industrial Park. After operation, the plant will treat wastewater from the Song Than 1 and the Song Than 2 in Di An Town and neighboring areas. At the 31st SEA Games, the men's football teams in Group B - Malaysia, Laos, Thailand, Singapore and Cambodia – stayed at the Nam Cuong hotel in Nam Dinh Province, just two km from the Thien Truong Stadium. The hotel's kitchen had to serve the five teams with special nutritional requirements keeping in mind their religious faiths and preferences. Nguyen Van Chien, the hotel's manager, said that the three main meals for the teams were served as a buffet of 60-70 dishes. For example, the Indonesian team wanted masala fried eggs, which the team leader said suited the nutritional needs of the players. Some of the Indonesian players were Muslims who don’t eat pork, so their meals had to be adjusted accordingly. For the Thai team, the hotel’s chefs served stir-fried noodles with special spices.
