13 foreigners detected illegally entering Vietnam via Binh Duong

Authorities in the southern Vietnamese province of Binh Duong have detected 13 cases of foreigners entering the country without permission. The cases of illegal entry were discovered on Monday when officials of Binh An Ward in Di An City, Binh Duong were patrolling the area. These foreigners had crossed the border in the northern Vietnamese region, traveled by road to the south, and intended to reach Kien Giang Province in the Mekong Delta region. The local health services, in collaboration with the police force, sent the group of foreigners to the medical center of Di An City for centralized quarantine as per regulations. All 13 of their first COVID-19 tests returned negative for the novel coronavirus, according to the provincial Center for Disease Control and the Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City. However, medical authorities will conduct two more tests on each of the 13 foreigners before making the final affirmation. Binh Duong had discovered 38 cases of illegal entry in total as of Tuesday, including 25 from China and 13 from Cambodia. Tourism and cuisine of the eastern Mekong River Delta showcased in Binh Phuoc Province

The Hanoitimes - The display is part of tourism promotion campaigns for the Mekong River Delta in eastern Vietnam. The exhibition on tourism, culture and culinary of the eastern Mekong river delta took place in the southern province of Binh Phuoc on January 4, 2021. Based on its success, the two-day event is expected to be held on an annual basis. Singers and dancers perform at the exhibition's opening ceremony held in Binh Phuoc Province. The eastern Mekong river delta of Vietnam aims at attract more tourists in the near future. Photo VNA As part of a series of tourism promotion campaigns for the Mekong River Delta in eastern Vietnam, the exhibition brought together 20 booths displaying the most attractive local products such as cashew nuts, seafood and fruits along with tourism products and regional intangible culture. It is also intended to serve as a guide to provide visitors with useful and practical information on the regional tourist guide. On the sideline of the event, a seminar called "Tourist destinations of the Southeast introduction" will also take place on May 5, 2021 discussing measures to boost tourism in the region. The eastern Mekong river delta of Vietnam consists of Ho Chi Minh City and five provinces of Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Tay Ninh, Binh Phuoc. The large area features many beautiful landscapes, a variety of cultural and historical relics, renown craft villages and diversified cuisine, that would be favorable conditions for tourism development. With such potentials and strengths, the area is considered the "raw gem" of the country's tourism industry. Vietnam – India: Increasing trade and investment relations

The year 2020 marks the 42nd anniversary of India-Vietnam bilateral trade. Vietnam and India have shared strong bilateral relations historically, and for the past two decades, trade between the two countries has risen considerably. India has significant expertise in IT services, pharmaceuticals, and oil & gas, all of which can significantly benefit Vietnam. Additionally, there are export opportunities in zinc, iron, steel, and man-made staple fibers from India to Vietnam.
