Vietnamese eleventh grader builds VW Beetle-style electric car

A Vietnamese eleventh grader has completed creating an electric vehicle that has basic parts of an ordinary car and can carry two people at the maximum speed of 40 kilometers per hour. The 400-kilogram automobile, which harks back to the vintage Volkswagen Beetle design, was made by Ngo Viet Cuong, a student at Tong Van Tran High School in Nam Dinh Province, near Hanoi. Cuong has been interested in playing with engines and mechanical equipment since he was a little kid. His father, Ngo Van Ngoc, said the son had fun with new toys only for a few days before taking them apart and putting them back together. The child also tried fitting machine parts into tools he found in his father’s automobile repair shop. When Cuong grew older, he learned the basic workings of automobile engines while helping his father with sundry jobs in the garage. As per schedule, it is a must to complete the construction of a 361.5km highway by late 2022, as well as an additional 652km by March 2024, and 729km extra by 2025. Vietnam attracts more than 14 billion USD of FDI in H1

The ministry’s data showed that as of June 20, 2022, the total newly registered capital, adjusted and contributed capital to buy shares, buy contributed capital of foreign investors reached 14.03 billion USD, as much as 91.1% over the same period in 2021. Of which, 752 new projects were granted investment registration certificates, down 6.5% compared to the same period, with a total registered capital of over 4.94 billion USD, down 48.2% over the same period. In addition, there were 487 projects registering to adjust their investment capital, up 5.9% over the same period, with the total additional registered capital reaching nearly 6.82 billion USD, up 65.6% compared to the same period last year. Pregnant woman saved in suicide attempt in northern Vietnam
A pregnant woman intended to end her life by jumping into water at the Ho Bridge in Bac Ninh Province, northern Vietnam due to a conflict with her boyfriend, but she was saved by police last weekend. The woman was identified as Vang Thi D., aged 28, who lives in Ha Giang Province. A team of waterway police officers from the Traffic Police Department under the Ministry of Public Security said Monday that they had successfully rescued a woman who intended to commit suicide at the Ho Bridge spanning the Duong River in Tien Du District in the province on Sunday. At around 3:20 pm on that day, the team dispatched four waterway guards, ships, and vehicles to the scene for rescue efforts after being notified of the case. The rescuers managed to talk the woman into giving up her suicidal thoughts. D. said that she got pregnant with her boyfriend, who resides in Gia Binh District, Bac Ninh.
