Vietnam makes efforts to develop domestic carbon market

Following the Paris Climate Accords , Vietnam must fulfill its mandatory obligation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from 2021 according to the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC). The country also needs to make efforts to reduce GHG emissions towards the goal of net-zero emissions by 2050. Vietnam opposes China’s ship identification stations in Hoang Sa
Vietnam has objected to China’s deployment of two automatic ship identification stations in the Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelago in the East Vietnam Sea, considering it a violation of Vietnam’s sovereignty, the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Monday. “China’s installation and operation of two automatic ship identification stations at Da Bac [North Reef] and Da Bong Bay [Bombay Reef], part of Vietnam's Hoang Sa, is a violation of Vietnam's sovereignty over the archipelago,” foreign ministry spokeswoman Pham Thu Hang stressed at a press conference in Hanoi on Monday. Seminar on Truong Sa archipelago opened in Hanoi

Vietnam orients livestock toward sustainability
Vietnamese firms are being urged to boost sustainable livestock practices, ensure animal welfare, and improve the value of products as Vietnam’s livestock industry is facing multiple challenges, especially after the country started to speed up its international integration, Duong Tat Thang, head of the Department of Livestock Production, said at a press briefing in Hanoi on Tuesday.
