The new infections brought the country’s total caseload to 10,748,127 since the pandemic broke out. As many as 9,694 patients were declared to be free from coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 on the day, raising the total number of recoveries to 9,699,357. Meanwhile, the death toll related to the disease was kept at 43,047, accounting for 0.4% of the total infections. Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai signs a regulation on the construction coordination of the Ring Road 3 Project in Ho Chi Minh City with leaders of three provinces of Long An, Binh Duong and Dong Nai at the conference. Public urged to get booster shots against Omicron subvariants
The booster shots are expected to help extend protection against subvariants BA.4 and BA.5. Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has urged localities and organizations to accelerate the delivery of booster doses of Covid-19 vaccines to all adults and children to prevent infection of the disease. The 26-year-old earned a wild card entry to the 18th edition of the event after Vietnam failed to win a berth through the official qualification regime. She will compete in the 400 m hurdles qualification round on July 19. If she qualifies, she will head to the semi-finals on July 20 and the finals two days later. Ngoc Thao from HCMC, 32, said that one kilogram of bacon now costs between VND150,000-180,000 ($6.43-7.72), depending on whether it is purchased at a traditional wet market or a supermarket.
