The annual festival is held as a religious ritual dedicated to the god of agriculture to win his blessing for verdant crops and prosperity for villagers throughout the year. It consists of an offering ritual, a ploughing ceremony and folk games. According to Chairman of the Ba Be district People’s Committee Luu Quoc Trung, over the past years, tourism in the locality has been developed, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors and becoming a key economic sector of the district. Therefore, the district attaches much importance to preserving and promoting cultural identities of local ethnic groups. 95% of workers in northern region return to work after Tet
As many as 95 percent of workers in Vietnam’s northern region have returned to work following the 2023 Tet Lunar New Year holiday. This year, many businesses allowed their staff to stay at home on the Friday of the holiday week, so they officially resumed operations on January 30. In Hanoi, by January 27/1, 83 percent of companies that resumed operations after Tet reported around 94.67 percent of their staff had come back to work.
