Specifically, Tran Xuan Bach, an eleventh grader of the High School for Gifted Students, College of Natural Science, under the Vietnam National University (VNU), won the gold medal. Russian experts have joined the preservation of President Ho Chi Minh’s body for over 50 years since he passed away in 1969. Vietnam’s Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh today met a delegation of Russian scientists to whom he extended thanks for their support in keeping the embalmed body of Vietnamese President Ho Chi Minh unharmed. The Vietnamese Ministry of Health on Sunday reported an additional 1,429 Covid-19 infections, raising the country's total tally to over 11 million. Illustrative photo According to the ministry's report, the national caseload has so far increased to 11,365,784. On August 14, an additional 5,932 more patients recovered from the disease, raising the number of recoveries in the country to over 10.02 million. On Sunday evening, one death from Covid-19 was recorded, raising the country's total fatalities to 43,098, accounting for 0.4 per cent of total infections. By August 13, the country had injected more than 251 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines. Vietnam has not yet drafted plans to give Covid-19 vaccines to children under five years old. The event was attended by the PAN’s Managing Editor Senior Colonel Le Ngoc Long and Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 5 (MR5) Senior Colonel Nguyen Ba Hung, together with representatives of the PAN, and 51 trainees who are political officers and PAN’s collaborators in military units in the Central and Central Highlands region. Addressing the event, Senior Colonel Long recalled heroic traditions of the PAN, while affirming the importance of the course which helps raising the quantity and quality of reporters in the military. (Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on August 14 attended a conference reviewing the 30-year cooperation between the President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Management Board and the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (VILAR) in preserving the corpse of the late Vietnamese leader. In 1992, when the agreement between Vietnam and the former Soviet Union became invalid, with permission by the Vietnamese and Russian Governments, the Mausoleum Management Board and VILAR switched to direct cooperation in preserving the corpse of the President.
