Police in Binh Dinh Province, south-central Vietnam are investigating a case in which a 29-year-old car driver hit three teenagers on a motorbike, killing two, after they appeared to intentionally block his way on Wednesday. The third teenager suffered injuries, according to Colonel Vo Duc Nguyen, director of the Binh Dinh Department of Public Security. Tran Xuan Hai, 29, a resident of Hoai An District, Binh Dinh, was driving his four-seater car to his wife’s house when Vo Phan Hoai Bao, 15, Nguyen Quoc Viet, 17, and Ngo Quang Linh, 16 – all from the same district – stopped their motorbike in front of Hai’s vehicle. Hai then drove his car into the back of the motorbike, killing Bao on the spot. Viet died en route to a medical center and Linh was injured. Rear-end collision between 9 vehicles on HCMC- Long Thanh- Dau Giay expressway
According to the initial information, the reason for accident was started by the driver of a container truck who could not control the speed and crashed into a 4-seater car ahead and continued to collide with a 16-seater passenger coach. The accident caused wrecks and damaged automobiles at the scene; and many people were taken to the hospital. On August 1, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No.1514/QD-BCT on the application of measures to prevent the evasion of trade remedies for some cane sugar products originating from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, and Myanmar (AC02.AD13-AS01). HCMC traffic police handle nearly 50,000 violations during peak period
According to the PC08, from June 20 to July 31, the agency handled nearly 50,000 violations of traffic order and safety in the locality. Of which, there were 6,127 violations on alcohol concentration, 3,230 violations on speed, 446 ones on overloaded vehicles, 125 cases on oversized vehicles and 145 cases on oversized trucks and so on. The functional forces are holding 180 automobiles, 8,592 motorbikes and 62 other means of transport. On Wednesday, a local newspaper reported that the Management Board of Nui Chua National Park was coordinating with the People's Committee of Vinh Hai Commune, Ninh Hai District, Ninh Thuan Province to reprimand a group of tourists for wearing bodysuits while picking up trash on a local beach.
