NovaGroup on Thursday receivedthe ‘Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2022’ award from HR Asia magazine. Earlier its subsidiary, Novaland, won the award for three consecutive years until 2021. The HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia award recognises organisations that have been identified by their employees as anemployer of choice and endorses the choices. The award is targeted at companies across Asia and recognises companies with the best HR practices and which demonstrate high levels of employee engagement and excellent workplace cultures. The high-profile nature of this award attracts applications from across the board: Fortune 500 companies, multinational corporations,government-linked companies, and other companies of various types. The “Best companies to work for in Asia 2022” Award evaluates and honors businesses with outstanding human resource policies, and an attractive working environment with gorgeous benefits for employees. Notably, HR Asia used the TEAM (Total Engagement Assessment Model) to survey the satisfaction of all employees. In 2022, the award attracted the participation of thousands of big companies in 13 Asian markets such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, and China. Concern mounts over continued staff shortage at luxury hotels
According to the Vietnam Hotels Association, there are over 550 luxury hotels that accounts for about 18% of the total number of rooms in the country. Hence the shortage of trained staff in this segment is concerning, industry insiders say. Dao Manh Hung, Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Education Association, said that in the first seven months of the year, the number of domestic tourists reached 71.8 million arrivals, exceeding the target of 60 million. But this has not proved very advantageous for luxury hotels. "The rise of domestic tourism post Covid-19 has had a great impact on middle-level hotels and the hiring of staff in this segment has increased rapidly. But, due to the slow return of international visitors, luxury hotels haven't been able to do the same. Employers expect hiring to increase in H2
The study found that 61 per cent of the surveyed businesses plan to increase their headcounts, while 27 per cent will maintain their workforce. Companies want to recruit workers, but have difficulty: survey
The Vietnam Employment Outlook Survey Q3 & Q4 2022 by recruitment company ManpowerGroup Vietnam said 88% of enterprises plan to expand or at least maintain their payroll in the second half of the year. The manufacturing, wholesale, retail, banking-finance, and professional consulting sectors expressed the greatest desire to expand. The survey focused on mid-career jobs and found nearly half of enterprises plan to hire people with at least six months’ experience. "The Vietnamese labor market is, from our perspective, bustling," Nguyen Xuan Son, ManpowerGroup Vietnam acting country operations manager, staffing and outsourcing services, said.
