Vietnam sent over 56,800 labourers to work abroad in the first seven months of 2022 (Photo: VietnamPlus) Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam sent over 56,800 workers, including 21,238 females, abroad to work under labour contracts over the first seven months of 2022, equivalent to 63.2 percent of the target set for the year. According to data from the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA), Japan, Taiwan (China) and the Republic of Korea (RoK) remained the largest recipients of Vietnamese labourers during the reviewed period. With the number of workers going to work abroad continuing to remain stable, Vietnam’s plan to send 90,000 labourers to work abroad this year is completely feasible, the ministry said. Hoi An Mid-Autumn Festival parade delights locals, foreigners
The Hoi An People's Committee organized the parade to mark the Mid-Autumn Festival. The parade began with the moon hanging high in the sky, and the procession marched along the town's main streets: Tran Phu, Bach Dang and Le Loi. Several foreigners could be seen in the crowd watching the parade, and some were even sporting Vietnamese traditional dress ao dai and holding star lanterns in hand. Some foreign tourists said they had a "very exciting" experience watching the parade and the lion dance performances. Foreigners watch the parade from both sides of the street. At 8 p.m., the rain came, causing the parade to die down a bit. Several stores were closed and certain areas experienced blackouts. Hanoi promotes trade and investment potential to investors
The event was held by Hanoi Centre for Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion (HPA) in collaboration with the Hanoi Young Business Association. As many as 100 businesses showcased their products, services, and outstanding technologies during the event, seeking business and investment opportunities with both domestic and foreign companies. (Photo: VNA) Seoul (VNA) – Vietnam is among destinations favoured by people from the Republic of Korea ( RoK ) for the Mid-Autumn holiday , known as Chuseok in the country. According to a recent survey conducted by the Incheon International Airport Corporation from August 7 to August 24 regarding passenger opinions, Vietnam is chosen by 14.5% of the respondents, ranking second on the list of most favoured international travel destinations for Chuseok. Japan topped the list with a rate of 28.2%. Vietnam also placed second among preferred travel destinations for those aged 20 and 30 (13.8% of respondents) and those aged 40 and 50 (12.8% of respondents).
