Yesterday, top-ranked local player Do Minh Quan, who snagged wild cards in the main draw of the singles event, suffered a 6-3, 6-3, loss to Chinese Taipei's Lu Yen-Hsun. After bye to finals, Snobel claims ATP Samsung Challenger (19-03-2007) HA NOI — Pavel Snobel outserved Farrukh Dustov in two sets of the Samsung ATP Challenger final last night at the Lan Anh Country Club tennis centre court to claim the title. The Czech winner, who received a cash prize of US$7,200, sailed through two sets and 10 tiebreakers to send home the Uzbek rival, who was weakened late in the game by an injury. Snobel, who is ranked 321st in the world, comfortably eased through to win the first set 6-3. Dustov, ranked 251, however, regained some heat to lead the second set 3-2 with powerful serves. He let Snobel level at 3-3 but then restored the lead at 5-3. But the Uzbek started getting weak after the eighth game, letting the Czech rival fight back to level the score at 6-6.
