The 14th National Assembly begins Question & Answer session this morning, which is being broadcast live on national television and radio. During the hearing sessions, to take place through two days and a half, the Ministers of Industry and Trade, Natural Resources and Environment, Education and Training, and Home Affairs will field questions on issues of public concern under their charge. Other ministers and officials, as well as Deputy Prime Ministers in charge of discussed fields, will be called to give further explanation. Finally, the Prime Minister will deal with lawmakers’ questions about his handling of issues under discussion. Before the Q&A session, the NA will hear a report on the parliament’s monitoring of the handling of petitions that voters sent to the 11 th session of the 13 th NA. An exhibition entitled “Vietnam’s National Assembly accompanies nation” was officially opened by the Ho Chi Minh city Department of Culture and Sports and the Ho Chi Minh city Museum at the Ho Chi Minh City Museum at No. 65 Ly Tu Trong, District 1, Ho Chi Minh city on July 7th. The display includes over 300 photos, documents and exhibits, which are divided into three parts: the first general election,the National Assembly (NA) of the country of united Vietnam and 40 years of Saigon – Gia Dinh city, named in honor of President Ho Chi Minh. Danang to host the first national Robothon Competition
(VOV) -As many as 144 students of 48 teams from many Robotics clubs across the country will attend the 2013 National Robothon competition in Danang city as of November 11. Asia-Pacific Robocon final round opens in Danang Vietnam wins second prize at ABU Robocon Contest The event, themed "Smart city", is one of important activities to bring the development of Robotics to every school in the country and select outstanding teams to the International Robotics Competition scheduled for late November in Manila, the Philippines. The organization board says contestants will use their creativeness and intelligence to assemble and install their robots to solve all issues given in the contest. First national congress of Vietnam poetry club
PANO – The first national congress of the Vietnam Poetry Club (VPC) opened on Oct. 5 at Ba Dinh Conference Hall. Representatives of the National Assembly, leaders of the Ministry of Culture and Information and 1154 club members were present. At the opening ceremony the congress raised 5 million VND for victims of the recent storms in central Vietnam. Since its foundation on June 17, 2006 VPC has admitted 1,759 members and set up 48 branches throughout the country. The club is an arena for poets and poetry fans to share experiences and encourages more creative works. It operates under the volunteer mechanism; it is self-financed and responsible for its own operations. The congress passed a plan of action for the next 5 years and elected a 27-member executive committee, and elected artist and correspondent Banh Thong as chairman of the club. Seventh Lao National Assembly first session closes
The first session of the seventh Lao National Assembly closed in Vientiane on June 24 after 10 days of sitting. During the session, Lao NA deputies discussed many important issues in the country and passed several plans. They included the organisational and personnel framework of the State, parliament and government, as well as tasks, targets and plans for each sector in the seventh five-year socio-economic development plan for 2011-2015 and State budget for the 2011-2012 period.
