The Toronto-based Avison Young announced its expansion into the Vietnamese market on September 20 through a strategic affiliation agreement with the Ho Chi Minh City- and Hanoi-based D&P Company. The commercial real estate company is establishing a presence in Southeast Asia for the first time. Its services include valuations and advice, industrial and office leasing, as well as property and asset management. More young Vietnamese professionals are quitting their full-time jobs and becoming freelancers to earn more income and knowledge, reflecting a global trend. Inside a café in Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Binh District, dozens of young customers hunch over their laptops to plow through a pile of work though the clock is striking midnight. Freelancing to blossom among the young The trend peaked during the COVID-19 pandemic and continues to thrive as the economy recovers. Working on more than one task simultaneously results in learning more skills but also comes with a lot of pressure. 2 boys save 2 young children from drowning in north-central Vietnam
Two seventh-grade students successfully rescued two young children from drowning in a local fishing port in Ha Tinh Province, north-central Vietnam, local authorities said on Tuesday. On August 30, Tran Dinh Nhat Anh, a third grader of Loc Ha Town Elementary School, and Nguyen Bao Binh, a first grader of Thach Kim Elementary School, were playing at the Cua Sot Fishing Port and fell into the water. At the time, Pham Thuc Sinh and Nguyen Hoang Phong, both studying in the Thach Kim Middle School in Loc Ha District, were also present at the fishing port. The second phase of Young Health Program Vietnam will be implemented over three years to improve Vietnamese youth's health and quality of life, primarily those between 10-24 years of age. The second phase of the Young Health Program Vietnam (YHP) for the 2023-2025 period was officially launched on October 2, and along with communication campaigns, awareness-raising activities are scheduled to take place at schools in Hanoi. Most of the schools in the districts of Cau Giay, Long Bien, Dong Anh, and Hai Ba Trung will join the YHP, which has been held by Vietnam's Ministry of Education and Training (MoET), AstraZeneca, and Plan International Vietnam. Singaporean young officers visits Air Force Regiment 929
The Singaporean delegation, led by Major Barry Lai, consists of 11 young officers from all branches of the Singapore Armed Forces, including the navy, army, and air force. Accompanying the delegation were Colonel Beranrd Ng, Singaporean Defense Attaché to Vietnam, and representatives from the Youth Advisory Board under the General Department of Political Affairs of the Vietnamese People’s Army, as well as troops from Air Force Regiment 929. On the occasion, the Singaporean delegation toured the unit’s barracks, had an exchange with the Vietnamese young officers, and shared experience in training to ensure flight safety, train military pilots, and master staffed equipment and weapons, to name but a few. Singaporean young officers visit Coast Guard Region 2 Command
The delegation consisted of a defense attaché from the Singaporean Embassy in Vietnam and ten officers representing the Navy, the Air Force, and the Army of Singapore. During the visit, the Singaporean young officers were briefed by Senior Colonel Tran Hong Que, Deputy Political Commissar of Coast Guard Region 2, on the functions and responsibilities of the Vietnam Coast Guard, as well as the development and significant achievements of Coast Guard Region 2 over the past 20 years. Vietnamese youth suffer from overthinking, anxiety
Thanh Tung dropped his major in marketing after pursuing it for a year and realizing it was not the right path for him. But for several months after switching majors, he’d been suffering from anxiety and insomnia over the decision. "I went to bed late, woke up at around 3-4 a.m., and could not go back to sleep until the morning. I had negative thoughts and cried a lot." The young man said he worried that his new major was just another "wrong decision." He felt like he didn’t have the energy to do anything other than lie down and surf his social media feeds.
