(Photo: Vietnam Airlines) Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam Airlines ’ Flight VN384 on its way from Hanoi to Haneda (Japan) on August 8 had to return to the departing airport after more than 1 hour and 45 minutes to provide urgent care for a Japanese boy who had a health problem. The 10-year-old boy, among the 145 passengers on board, suffered a nosebleed. The flight attendant team immediately provided emergency assistance to him on the plane. However, due to the passenger's non-stop bleeding, the crew decided to return the plane to Noi Bai International Airport to seek medical support . The passenger, who was with his mother and sister, was then brought to a hospital in Hanoi. His condition has become stable. Due to the return, Flight VN384 was 275 minutes late. Vietnam to play India at friendly football tournament

Lao tourism sees signs of recovering after reopening

(Photo: VNA) Vientiane (VNA) – The number of tourists coming to Laos increased again after it lifted travel restrictions in January 2022, said the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism’s Tourism Development Department. The Laotian Times cited figures from the department that more than 42,000 foreign nationals entered the country on tourist visas in the first half of this year, with the highest numbers arriving in May and June. The average stay for these arrivals was 7.9 days, with spending averaging around 83 USD per person. As a result, tourism revenue generated from the group reached approximately 4.55 million USD in the period. Flight returns to Hanoi with sick Japanese passenger
A flight of national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines had to return to Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi on Monday while travelling to Japan to save a Japanese boy who suffered from severe nosebleeds. Around 1 hour and 45 minutes after leaving Noi Bai International Airport for Haneda in Japan, the 10-year-old boy suddenly had a nosebleed. Despite being given urgent care, the passenger’s condition did not improve as he experienced non-stop bleeding. As a precaution, the crew decided to return to Noi Bai to ensure medical assistance. Post-pandemic retail market recovers strongly
Olivier Langlet, CEO of Central Retail Vietnam, said Vietnam is one of the group’s major markets, with annual sales growing rapidly to nearly THB38.6 billion or more than VND25 trillion within 10 years, accounting for 22 percent of Central Retail’s total revenue. In 2021, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the group’s retail sales in Vietnam grew 0.2 percent, marking a new record.
