Vietnam's National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue visited Albertirsa City on Sunday, where he had talks with Deputy Speaker of the Hungarian parliament István Jakab, concentrating on agricultural cooperation, as part of his ongoing visit to Hungary. Hue arrived in Budapest late on Saturday afternoon (local time) for an official visit from June 26 to 28, at the invitation of Hungarian National Assembly Speaker László Kövér, Nhan Dan (People) newspaper reported. The proposal was discussed in a meeting with the city's leaders and a delegation of the Australian Embassy and Australian investors seeking cooperation and investment opportunities in Hai Phong last week. The company's annual pre-tax profit, industrial output and revenue were set to grow 5 per cent and 10 per cent, respectively in the period, VEAM said, adding that it would focus on strengthening cooperation among member units while expanding its presence in the domestic market and promoting exports. According to VEAM chairman Nguyen Khac Hai, his firm will seek qualified investors to co-operate directly or through subsidiaries to invest in production projects, agricultural machinery trading, automobiles and supporting industries. Entrepreneurs remain inspirations for Vietnamese youth According to the report, over 23 million (25 per cent) of the population are youth aged 16 to 30. Of them, 43 per cent want to become entrepreneurs, followed by working in the media and communications (37 per cent), education (22 per cent), technology (20 per cent), NGO and government (17 per cent), and financial sectors (11 per cent). Only a small proportion of the respondents seek careers in transportation (8 per cent) and energy (5 per cent). It is worth noting that while there is an increasing demand for digital skills in the country, these were the least cited among the skills that need development. Instead, around half of the young people surveyed would like to further gain self-leadership (53 per cent) and interpersonal skills (48 per cent). This is followed by reskilling in cognitive and advanced digital skills (37 per cent) and basic digital skills (28 per cent).
