JICA supports the upgrade of Vietnam’s equity market
This was one of the events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations and 30th anniversary of Japan’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) to Vietnam. Nearly 150 participants from related ministries and agencies, as well as Vietnamese and Japanese companies attended the seminar. In the event, after the presentation by the State Securities Commission (SSC) and discussions on the said strategy, JICA’s consultant team - Japanese experts from Daiwa Institute of Research, and other institutions including Japan Exchange Group and Nomura Research Institute - provided reviews of the Project and policy recommendations for the new development strategy of Vietnam’s securities market. Minister hopes U.S. becomes biggest investor in Vietnam
He made the remark at a meeting with a business delegation of the U.S. - ASEAN Business Council (USABC) in Hanoi on March 21. Highlighting the two countries’ comprehensive and fruitful relations, Minister Dung said the U.S. is currently the second largest trading partner and one of the leading export markets of Vietnam. It is also an important ODA provider and the 11th biggest among the 142 countries and territories investing in the Southeast Asian nation. The two countries officially established diplomatic ties on March 22, 1973, just two months after the Paris Agreement on ending the war and restoring peace in Vietnam was signed. Suntory Group and MoET take action to preserve water resources
Suntory Group is committed to creating activities that enhance water-resource conservation and has been operating 'Mizuiku - I love clean water', an educational scheme to help raise awareness of water protection in Japan, since 2004. Vietnam was officially chosen by Suntory in 2015 to be the first country outside Japan to deploy the clean-water scheme. The initiative reflects Suntory's sustainability development goals and commitment to support the community wherever they do business.
