In her opening speech at the ASEAN Regional Dialogue on Child Online Protection 2023 in Jakarta, Puspayoga said in order to protect children from the increasingly broad, expansive, and aggressive negative contents in the digital space, member countries of ASEAN have affirmed their commitment to combating online child exploitation and abuse. The commitment takes form in the Declaration on the Protection of Children from All Forms of Online Exploitation and Abuse in ASEAN as well as the ASEAN Regional Plan of Action for the Protection of Children from All Forms of Online Exploitation and Abuse. BASF Vietnam rebuilds seventh school
The newly re-built school, with a total area of more than 300 square metres, comprises two classrooms and a playground and aims to improve the academic environment for both teachers and students. The initiative is being carried out with the support of the Saigon Children’s Charity CIO as part of its school building programme, which pledges to benefit around 100 students annually. According to Erick Contreras, managing director of BASF Vietnam, the scheme is aligned with the United Nations Sustainability Development Goal of extending quality education to the community. “Providing and enabling the younger generation with a safe and conducive learning environment is a top priority for us. It’s a rewarding journey, particularly when we progress hand-in-hand with our valued partners to nurture Vietnam's emerging talent,” said Contreras. ‘Tro tan ruc ro’ to represent Vietnam at 2024 Oscars

A National Council, specifically established by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, chose the film with the highest vote. This work marks the return after a 10-year absence of director Bui Thac Chuyen since Loi nguyen huyet ngai (The Curse of the Blood Wormwood). Film Tro tan ruc ro is adapted from two short stories by novelist Nguyen Ngoc Tu: Tro tan ruc ro (Glorious Ashes) and Cui muc troi ve (Rotten Firewood Returns).
