NovaGroup on Thursday receivedthe ‘Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2022’ award from HR Asia magazine. Earlier its subsidiary, Novaland, won the award for three consecutive years until 2021. The HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia award recognises organisations that have been identified by their employees as anemployer of choice and endorses the choices. The award is targeted at companies across Asia and recognises companies with the best HR practices and which demonstrate high levels of employee engagement and excellent workplace cultures. Power shortage worries increase hunger for coal

Cao Son Coal, the company with the largest mining output in Vietnam, on July 19 announced to improve and expand the capacity of the Cao Son coal mine in Cam Pha in the northeastern province of Quang Ninh, to meet high production requirements. Coal mining companies are increasing output to deal with power generation shortages, Le Toan The mine has total reserves of almost 52 million tonnes, with a designed capacity of about 4.5 million tonnes per year. By upgrading the reserves, Cao Son’s coal mine is expected to complete a record high mining output of 6.78 million tonnes in 2022. Phan Quoc Viet, director of Cao Son Coal, said, “We have mobilised equipment to maximise the exploitation of raw coal at the Cao Son mine. Indonesia moves to promote renewable energy development

DJBC Director Untung Basuki said authorities are reviewing types of incentives that will be given to new and renewable energy producers. The incentives will be applied to all types of energy, from geothermal power, hydro power, marine thermal power, solar power to wind power. The top target is to promote the exploitation and use of green and environmentally friendly energy sources, he noted, but the incentives will only be given to the firms that cooperate with certain ministries/agencies, including the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. Vietnam, US continue cooperation in energy security

Vietnam and the U.S. have agreed to continue their cooperation in energy security, the U.S. Department of State said in a press release on Thursday.
