The second-largest lottery winner in U.S. history has come forward to claim the $1.6 billion prize, but the person's identity may remain a secret for another 90 days, the Florida Lottery said on Wednesday. The Mega Millions jackpot was claimed on Monday, seven weeks after the Aug. 8 drawing, Florida Lottery said in a statement. Florida is one of 45 states plus Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands to participate in Mega Millions. The lottery went for 31 twice-weekly drawings without a winner until a ticket buyer at a Publix supermarket in Neptune Beach, about 15 miles (24 km) east of Jacksonville, matched all six numbers. Mega Millions said the $1.602 jackpot was the largest in its history, topping a $1.537 billion prize that was won in South Carolina in 2018. According to the South Korean woman, songpyeon - made from rice powder and filled with red bean, mung bean, or black sesame paste - is a must-have dish at Chuseok (South Korean Mid-Autumn Festival). Chuseok is an occasion for South Koreans to celebrate their harvest and gather with family members. Local people often visit their deceased relatives’ graves and offer food to show their gratitude towards their ancestors. Over 56,800 Vietnamese labourers sent abroad in 7 months
Vietnam sent over 56,800 labourers to work abroad in the first seven months of 2022 (Photo: VietnamPlus) Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam sent over 56,800 workers, including 21,238 females, abroad to work under labour contracts over the first seven months of 2022, equivalent to 63.2 percent of the target set for the year. According to data from the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA), Japan, Taiwan (China) and the Republic of Korea (RoK) remained the largest recipients of Vietnamese labourers during the reviewed period. With the number of workers going to work abroad continuing to remain stable, Vietnam’s plan to send 90,000 labourers to work abroad this year is completely feasible, the ministry said.
