Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese spent time visiting a local beer spot in Hanoi to enjoy bia hoi (light Vietnamese draft beer) after he arrived in the Vietnamese capital city on Saturday afternoon. PM Albanese joined a crowd at a draft beer spot on Duong Thanh Street, Hoan Kiem District to drink ice-cold draft beer and have lunch there. The Australian leader sat at the same table as that of Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia Nguyen Tat Thanh and Director of the State Protocol Department Nguyen Viet Dung. "Sam Tran took me to a local spot in Hanoi today to try a couple of Vietnamese classics," Albanese wrote on his official Twitter account, mentioning Sam Tran, a Vietnamese chef with multiple years of working experience in Australia. Albanese bought banh mi (Vietnamese baguette) at a local food stall before visiting a bia hoi (larger) shop on Duong Thanh Street in Hoan Kiem District. During his 40-minute lunch break, he enjoyed peanuts, roasted pork, fish cakes and tofu.
