This was announced at a ceremony by the Ho Chi Minh City Communist Youth Union at the Central Businesses Sector on April 16 to summarize movements towards Party congress at all levels and the Youth Year 2011. ASEAN law forum opens in Hanoi In his opening remarks, Deputy Minister of Justice Nguyen Khanh Ngoc said four ASEAN countries are currently members of The Hague Conference and participated in a total of 12 conventions. Vietnam joined The Hague 1993 Convention on Protection of Children and Cooperation in Respect of Inter-country Adoption in 2011 and became a member of The Hague Conference in 2013. The country participated in The Hague Convention on the Service Abroad of Judicial and Extrajudicial Documents in Civil or Commercial Matters in 2016. Ngoc said Vietnam is considering the possibility of joining other conventions of The Hague Conference regarding legal and judicial cooperation, including those on the abolishment of requirement of legalisation for foreign public documents, the taking of evidence, and the civil aspects of international child abduction. Scientists have urged to take actions to revitalize coral reefs, warning that Vietnam should not dream of developing tourism with barren seabed. Vietnam’s sea corals in danger Vietnam’s sea corals, 1122 square kilometers in total area, which plays a very important role in the ecosystem existence, has been in danger. Scientists have warned that if the ecosystem disappears, Vietnamese sea would turn into the water desert. Vietnamese sea gathers 340 coral species out of the total 800 coral varieties in the world, thus being considered. Coral reefs are seen in thick density at the sea areas in Nha Trang, Truong Sa, Hoang Sa, Hon Mun of Khanh Hoa province. However, the sea corals are facing big challenges.
