Two draft laws, N.A.’s draft supervisory plan for 2024 put on table
In the morning, on behalf of the Prime Minister, Minister of Public Security To Lam submitted a draft law on amendments and supplements to some articles of the Law on the People’s Public Security Force. The draft law aims to institutionalize the Party’s guidelines and policies, remove bottlenecks, and guarantee the legal system’s consistency to meet the requirements for safeguarding national security and social order and safety. Minister To Lam also proposed a draft law amending and supplementing some articles of the Law on Exit and Entry of Vietnamese Citizens and the Law on Foreigners’ Entry into, Exit from, Transit through and Residence in Vietnam. This bill is intended to institutionalize the Party’s guidelines and policies and meet the N.A.’s requirements for and the Government’s process on administrative reform and digital transformation. MND presents gifts to 70 revolutionary contributors in Vinh Long province
During the meeting, Major General Doan Quang Hoa presented MND’s gifts to the national contributors from Vinh Long province, affirming that over the past years, the Central Military Commission, MND directed functional units to closely work with relevant ministries and organs to make recommendations to the Party and State to take care of policy for fallen soldiers, war veterans, and national contributors, and implement policies for military and its rear. Accordingly, gratitude activities were held so as to take care of revolutionary contributors. Over the past ten years, troops in the whole military have donated nearly VND 550 billion to the “Gratitude Fund,” built more than 7,000 gratitude houses, taken care of 2,879 heroic Vietnamese mothers, among others. Power overhaul plan picks up steam
Vietnam’s long-awaited Power Development Plan VIII (PDP8), confirmed in mid-May, is a milestone in the country’s journey towards energy transition. The main objective of the legislation is to achieve energy security for Vietnam, progressing on its climate change commitments towards the middle of this century, and more specifically to export 5,000-10,000MW of power by 2030. Meaningful activities held in response to “Youths and national sea and islands” program
It was part of the "Sentiment towards national borders, sea and islands" program, which is held annually by the GDP and military units nationwide. During the program, the organizing board presented gifts to 15 war veterans of no-number ships; 25 families of troops on duty on Truong Sa archipelago, and needy troops. Meanwhile, the MR4’s armed forces presented a "100 VND" house, worth VND 80 million, to Private First Class Tran Xuan Quy from Dong Trach commune, Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province; while the Quang Binh provincial Youth Union Organization handed over two houses, 30 livelihood models to youths’ relatives and schools in the areas.
