Hanoi (VNA) – The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has announced that the country's total export value of dragon fruit so far this year topped 47 million USD, a fall of 48.7% compared to the same period las year. The fruit has been exported to more than 40 countries and territories with China, India, the US, Thailand and the Netherlands being the biggest import ers. However, in the first two months of 2023, its export saw a slump in some markets such as the Republic of Korea (RoK) and Japan with decreases of 25.9% and 35.4%, respectively year-on-year. Minister hopes U.S. becomes biggest investor in Vietnam

Hanoi sees rising chickenpox cases
Hanoi has recorded 70 chickenpox cases over the past week, raising the city’s total number of patients to 548 since early this year. According to the Hanoi Centre for Disease Control, children at nursery accounted for 36.5 percent of cases and primary school children 38 percent respectively. The disease has hit 18 among 30 local districts with Chuong My hardest hit with 230 patients, followed by Me Linh, Ba Vi, Nam Tu Liem and My Duc. But the city has seen no deaths related to chickenpox so far this year. More schools in Chuong My District have recorded cases of chickenpox, including Phu Nghia Nursery School and Van Vo Primary School. Through various media channels, the organising board received 130 entries. The winning logo was designed by Ly Khanh Linh, a 22-year-old student from Graphic Design Faculty at FPT University. Foreign-invested enterprises bemoan housing legal overlaps
The Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL) has once again proposed that the government makes changes to Decision No.655/QD-TTg on housing in trade union institutions in industrial parks (IPs) and economic zones. The VGCL wants to have a harmonious cooperation mechanism between the VGCL, the people’s committee of localities and investors to build housing projects in trade union institutions in IPs.
