Nordic countries, including Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden, shared their experience in green solutions to a circular economy and waste management and policy implications for Vietnam at a seminar held in Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday. The seminar was organized by the Embassies in Vietnam of Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden and Fulbright University Vietnam to mark the occasion of Nordic Day 2023 (March 23). In his opening remarks at the seminar, Ambassador of Denmark to Vietnam Nicolai Prytz said with a long tradition of working together to find solutions to common challenges, the Nordic countries are proud to share their experience and knowledge with Vietnam. “We believe that sharing experience and best practices with our partners is essential to promoting sustainable development,” Prytz added. FLC wants restrictions on trading its shares lifted
In a report to the Hanoi Stock Exchange, which runs the Unlisted Public Company Market (UPCoM) in which FLC shares are traded now, the company said it is working with auditor UHY to complete and publish the annual report for 2021 next month. The failure to publish it caused authorities to delist its shares from the main bourse, the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE), and move them to UPCoM. FLC said it held an extraordinary general meeting on Mar. 4 and plans to hold the annual general meeting for 2022 in the middle of June and seek shareholders’ approval for hiring an auditor for last year’s annual report. By October end it hopes to publish the report for the first half of last year. In its report to the HNX, the company asked for time to resolve these problems. The information comes from Generali Vietnam’s latest release issued March 16, citing that at a meeting chaired by president Andrea Sironi, the Assicurazioni Generali Board of Directors approved the consolidated financial statements and the parent company’s draft financial statements for the year 2022. Along with this, the group’s gross written premiums rose by 1.5 per cent to $86.7 billion, thanks to the positive performance of the Property and Casualty (P&C) segment, led by the non-motor line. On the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange, the VN-Index rose 0.44 per cent to close Thursday at 1,045.10 points. Market breadth was negative with 179 rising stocks and 195 losing ones. Nearly 431 million shares worth VND7.8 trillion (US$332 million) were traded on HCM City’s bourse. On HOSE, foreign investors were net buyers with a value of approximately VND336 billion. Vietnam posts growth in coffee export value to Spain
The Ministry of Industry and Trade cited statistics of the Statistical Office of the Eu ropean Communities as saying that the market share of Vietnamese coffee in Spain's total imports from the global market accounted for over 30% in 2022. Vietnam exported over 342,000 tonnes of coffee in the first two months of the year, earning 745 million USD, down 7% in volume and 9.5 percent in value year-on-year. Spain is the 8th largest trading partner of Vietnam in the EU, and the 8th biggest importer of Vietnamese goods. Last year, two-way trade between Vietnam and Spain hit 3.54 billion USD, 13% higher than that recorded in 2021. This was the highest growth rate ever.
