Quang Nam hosts Korean Culture Day 2021

South Korean violin artist JMI KO, singers Seok Hun, Han Sara, and a K-pop dance troupe will perform in Hoi An from April 9 to 11 during the Korean Culture Day event, an annual cultural exchange between South Korea and Quang Nam province. South Korean singer Han Sara will perform at the Korean Culture Day in the central province of Quang Nam. Photo courtesy of Korean Cultural Centre The event will be held at the An Hoi Sculpture Garden, featuring an array of cultural performances, cuisine, and traditional arts of Korea and Hoi An. "Vietnam and Korea are making our 'family relationship' better," said South Korean ambassador Park Noh-wan. "I'm glad to introduce Korean culture to people in Quang Nam. I hope this year's event will bring the people of the two countries closer over the barriers of culture and language." Visitors will have the chance to experience Korean culture and cuisine from 3pm-6pm on April 10 and 11 including handicrafts, games and a lucky draw. From 7pm to 9pm, music shows will entertain event goers with performances by Korean and Vietnamese artists. Violinist JMI Ko is popular in Vietnam with her music video Xin Chào Việt Nam (Hello Vietnam) featuring beautiful landscapes including Hoi An. She has been living and working in HCM City for ten years. Singer Han Sara participated in Giọng Hát Việt (The Voice of Vietnam)'s season 4. Her songs are popular among young listeners. The South Korean Embassy in Hanoi has cooperated with the People’s Committee of Quang Nam Province to host the National Taekwondo Clubs Championships - Korean Ambassador Cup 2021 from April 7 to 14. The tournament is co-hosted by the Korean Cultural Centre in Vietnam with the support of the Vietnam Taekwondo Federation, the provincial Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism, and the People’s Committee of Hoi An with the participation of nearly 1,000 taekwondo athletes, coaches and staff. VNA, NA Office release photo book on 14th legislature

The 428-page book, titled “Quoc hoi khoa XIV - Nhung thanh tuu va dau an noi bat” (The 14th National Assembly – Outstanding achievements and imprints,” comprises nearly 1,000 photos featuring the past five-year journey of the legislative body. Such photos, together with infographics, give readers an insight into the NA’s performance in legislation, supervision, decision-making on the country’s major matters, and external affairs. The book also devotes pages to introducing 494 deputies to the 14th NA, who are grouped in provincial and municipal delegations of NA deputies. The book has been released at the end of the 14th legislature that created many hallmarks during the five-year tenure. The 14th NA concluded its 11th session - the last of this tenure - in Hanoi on April 8, with many important contents on reviewing the tenure's work, building laws, and handling personnel matters completed over the course of 12 days. Programme honours Vietnam’s Ao dai in Hanoi

At the event (Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) - An Ao dai ( Vietnamese traditional long dress ) performance event named “Ao Dai Cua Chung Ta” (Our Ao dai) was held in Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam (The Temple of Literature) in Hanoi, on April 9. The area in front of Khue Van Cac (the pavilion of the constellation of literature) in Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam became the "stage" for 15 designers to introduce more than 600 Ao Dai designs. Among them, there are renowned designers such as: Minh Hanh, Ngoc Han, Lan Huong, Chu La, and Trinh Bich Thuy. The event, co-organised by the Thang Long Institute for Cultural Research (TICR) and Tinh hoa Dat Viet Magazine, also features the participations of more than 400 models, actors, and guests, including wives of ambassadors of Italy, India, Laos and Belarus. Ao dai has long been a traditional costume and a typical cultural feature of Vietnam. Through ups and downs with constant changes, ao dai still honours the gracefulness and elegance of Vietnamese women. The event "Ao Dai Cua Chung Ta" contributes to the continued promotion of community awareness and responsibility in preserving and protecting traditional Ao dai, and honouring and promoting Vietnamese traditional costumes; while, at the same time, promoting cultural exchange between Vietnam and other countries around the world./.
