Dantri bridge in Bac Quang District, Ha Giang Province The VND500m (USD21,600) bridge was built with help from TH Group and For Vietnamese Stature Foundation. The bridge is 22 metres long and was opened to traffic on December 27, 2018. Nguyen Ba Tuan, party secretary of Huu San Commune, said the bridge helped local people travel more easily, boosted the commune. 2. New classrooms in Quang Ba District, Ha Giang Province. Classrooms built for Na Quang school site The new classrooms were built for Na Quang school site, under Bac Dai Son Primary School, and Bat Dai Son Nursery School. Vietnam Fatherland Front President Tran Thanh Man visited and gave Tet presents to six abandoned children in Can Tho Province named by Dantri editor-in-chief Pham Huy Hoan. New classrooms have been built for disadvantaged children in Muong Lat District, Thanh Hoa Province. New classrooms have been built for disadvantaged children in Muong Lat District The For Vietnamese Smiles Group’s For Children in Mountainous Areas Project aims to help children in 12 northern mountainous provinces. On January 20, the project's executive committee and Muong Lat District People's Committee opened two classrooms at Loc Ha school site of Nhi Son Commune Primary School. Both of the classrooms are 62.5 square metres and cost VND145m (USD6,200). This is the fourth educational construction under the project which has helped improve the studying environment for the children. Readers donate VND245m to needy people in Nghe An
Dantri/DTiNews has transferred nearly VND245m (USD10,500) in readers' donation to support three families in Nghe An Province. Dantri transferred VND31,530,000 (USD1,400) to the family of Tran Thi Xuan The Dantri representative and the authorities of Bao Thanh Commune visited and transferred VND31,530,000 (USD1,400) to the family of Tran Thi Xuan. Xuan's husband was a guest worker in Russia but died in a traffic accident. The family was deep in debt in order to pay for his fees to work in Russia and the fees to bring his body home. Unfortunately, Xuan was diagnosed with uterine fibroid and kidney stones and she still needs to take care of two children. After going through three operations, her health deteriorates quickly and the debts grew to over VND60m. Xuan thanked the donors when she received the donation. "I do my best to raise my children. H’Thuy, 24, from Ma ethnic minority group has been diagnosed with colorectal cancer when she was in the 6th month of pregnancy, but she turned down the chemotherapy treatment to ensure safety for her child.
