Huawei Viet Nam has implemented a series of activities to support education in mountainous areas.

The company has granted 54 laptops to Tien Cat Primary School in the northern province of Phu Tho and 100 tablets in Bac Kan Province with an aim of ending the shortage of technological equipment for teachers and students in the mountainous areas.

Fang Yu, Deputy General Director of Huawei Viet Nam said: "As the world’s leading provider of IT infrastructure and smart devices with 35 years of history in the world, Huawei believes that primary education plays an extremely important role for talent development for the country and society. As we are entering the digital age, the school’s orientation to fostering students’ computer knowledge from primary school is a very right direction."

Huawei Vietnam will also build two new schools including Son Ca Kindergarten in Ban To – Ang To Commune and Xuan Lao Kindergarten in Ban Lao – Xuan Lao Commune, Muong Ang District, Dien Bien Province, with the goal of solving difficulties in facilities, shortening the way to school for children here.

Huawei awarded each school a set of Huawei FusionSolar smart household solar power solution equipment to ensure electricity supply for the schools. — VNS
