Kien Giang’s standing militia squadron welcomes Tet

The squadron is tasked with disseminating to local people the Party's guideline and the State's laws and policies on defense and security, information related to exploitation and protection of aquatic resources; grasping situation at sea; teaming with other forces to safeguard national sovereignty over the sea and islands, and more.

During the event, the organizers presented gifts and extended Tet greetings to the squadron's members and their families.

The squadron's members joined hands with Youth Union Organization members of Binh An commune, Kien Luong district and Vinh Lac ward, and Binh Minh Kindergarten in Rach Gia city, Kien Giang province to make 200 tet cakes (cylindrical glutinous rice cakes) and play collective games, bringing joys to all participants.

On the occasion, the squadron signed a twinning agreement with the Youth Union Organization of Binh An commune. Under the agreement, they will coordinate to disseminate information and raise their units' personnel and local youths' awareness of the Party and State's policies on mass mobilization work, Fatherland protection duties, the building of a strong all people's defense disposition. They will hold exchange activities as well.
