Military units actively help natural disaster victims

So far, military units and localities of Military Region 2 have mobilized nearly 750 people including active-duty troops, militia force and other forces, as well as vehicles and equipment to support flood-hit people, moving them to safer areas, cleaning the environment and more.

* According to the Search and Rescue Department under the General Staff, on July 28, the Military Region 5 Command continued to direct Economic-Defense Unit 206 and Search and Collection Team K53 of the Kon Tum provincial Military Command to support Lao people to overcome the aftermath of the collapse of the Sepien-Senamnoi hydropower dam in Attapeu province. Additionally, the support missions spent over VND 550 million on food and clothes for the Lao victims, coordinated with the Attapeu provincial Military Command to provide free health checkups and medicines for over 350 participating people and present 1,700 sets of clothes to the victims.
