Hung Yen Province statistical sector fulfills targets

Specifically, the sector successfully completed the assignments and annual plans mandated by the General Statistics Office of Vietnam (GSO) and the provincial party committee and people’s committee. Statistics outputs, including Statistical Yearbook; Major Socioeconomic Indicators; Analysis of Socioeconomic Situation; Report on data analysis of surveys, and Census, among others, have reflected relatively, comprehensively, vividly and honestly the picture of the local socioeconomic situation in the fields of economic growth, population, culture, health, education, and local people's life.

Hung Yen Province's statistics sector has also successfully organized and implemented large surveys such as population and housing censuses, rural life censuses, agriculture and fisheries censuses. Every year, the statistics sector also organizes and conducts various periodic and ad-hoc professional surveys in response to requests and produces hundreds of professional reports of other types.

In order to improve professional qualifications and meet the requirements of tasks in the new period, the statistics sector pays great attention to the training and retraining of their officers and civil servants. Every year, many turns of officers and civil servants are sent to training courses organized by the GSO for training and retraining in statistics, imparting the professional knowledge of state administrative management to be ranked as experts and key experts.

The material and technical facilities have been strengthened, equipped with complete and modern equipment to perform the professional assignments. The management, organization and performance have been improved in good order and with efficiency through the addition, development and up keeping the specific regulations and operational procedures. Especially, the development and compliance of the Quality Management System according to the ISO 9001:2015 standards are applied in the activities of the provincial statistical sector. The application of ISO processes ensures the uniformity of task performance, clearly defined responsibilities to help improve the quality of management as well as the quality of statistical information.

Along with the development of Vietnam’s statistics, many generations of officials inside and outside the Hung Yen Province's statistical sector were awarded the Commendation Medal "For the cause of Vietnam’s Statistics". Numerous collectives and individuals have been awarded medals, mementos, and certificates of merit and the title of Emulation Winner by the state, the government, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the provincial people’s committee and local authorities.

In the coming trend of international integration and development, the Party and the state continue to carry out the renovation, industrialization and modernization of the country, and realize the socioeconomic development goals. The statistical sector continues to implement the Vietnam Statistical Development Strategy for the 2021-2030 period with a vision to 2045, and to undertake the important projects and strategies of the sector.
