The army corps command handed over 2,000 gifts, worth VND 1 billion in total, to ethnic minority people, needy households, and AO victims in the locality. This activity is held annually on the occasion of Tet festival to share difficulties with the needy and encourage them to strive for a better life.
Apart from the movement, the army corps also held the border spring program to hand over 3,500 Tet gifts, worth VND 450,000 each, to ethnic minority people in the locality and disadvantaged workers of the unit.
According to Senior Colonel Lai Van Tuan, Deputy Political Chief of Army Corps 16, these are meaningful activities, which contribute to addressing difficulties for the locals during Tet festival.
