The VN-Index closed at 1,005.97 points, up 0.6%, today – PHOTO: THANH HOA HCMC – Many largecaps and bluechips reversed course to end higher, pushing the VN-Index of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange up at 1,005.97 points today, November 26. With 203 gainers and 216 losers, the main index added 6.03 points, or 0.6% from the session earlier. Trade volume rose 4% to over 494.5 million shares, while the value dropped by 6% against the day earlier at VND10.3 trillion. There were over 82 million shares worth VND1.9 trillion traded in block deals. In the VN30 basket, as many as 19 stocks were in positive territory, with bank stocks BID and CTG ending up 3.1% and 3.2%, respectively. Fuel firm PLX, lender VPB and brewery firm SAB also contributed to the gain of the main index, rising by 1.5%-2% at the close. Financial service provider TCH earned impressive growth, ending the day up and reporting a matching volume of 11.6 million shares.
