Vietnam’s Ministry of Health on Monday evening reported five new COVID-19 cases, including a flight attendant, an Indian expert, a Filipino expert, and two Vietnamese citizens returning from Romania. The flight attendant, a 29-year-old man hailing from Ho Chi Minh City, arrived in the central city of Da Nang from Japan via flight VN311 on November 8. He was then brought to a quarantine facility in Ho Chi Minh City, and tested positive for the novel coronavirus on November 22. The patient is being treated at the makeshift hospital for COVID-19 treatment in Cu Chi District in the southern city. The Indian expert, 51, landed at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi on November 20 and was quarantined upon his arrival. He tested positive for the novel coronavirus on the following day and was admitted to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in the capital city.
