However, Ngoc Thanh missed a golden opportunity in the 80th as his finish hit the post. Vietnam U16s only have 1 point after two matches and now are at risk of elimination. Ending as a 1-1 draw, Vietnam only have 1 point after two games and are now on the brink of elimination. If they want to progress, Vietnam U16s must win their last match against strong rivals Iran, while hoping that Indonesia lose to India, with a result that gives them a better goal difference than Indonesia. The Vietnamese team will play their last match of the tournament against Iran on September 27.
