State funeral plan for President Tran Dai Quang announced The Saigon Times Daily Late State President Tran Dai Quang – PHOTO: VNA HCMC – A State funeral for State President Tran Dai Quang, who died on September 21 at the age of 62, will be held on September 26 and 27, the Government news website reported, citing an announcement of the State funeral organizing committee. A service will be held from 7:00 a.m. on September 26 at the National Funeral House on Tran Thanh Tong Street in Hanoi to pay tribute to the late State President. It will be followed by a memorial service at 7:30 a.m. on September 27. The burial ceremony is scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on the same day in his hometown in Kim Son District in the northern province of Ninh Binh. At the same time, the tribute-paying and memorial services for late State President Tran Dai Quang will also be held at the Reunification Palace in HCMC and the hall of the People’s Committee of Kim Son District. Vietnam Television station and Voice of Vietnam radio station will broadcast live the tribute-paying, memorial and burial ceremonies from Hanoi, HCMC and Ninh Binh. During the two-day State funeral, all State offices and public facilities must fly the national flag at half-mast and all entertainment activities must be shut down.
