Dinh Nguyen Binh said his hobby of collecting unused cans and bottles began when he was a little boy, and he started bringing home cans and bottles that his friends threw away. When the collection became larger, he spent his free time turning them into little things like glasses and ashtrays, and then bigger ones like tables, chairs, and shelves. According to Binh, the work requires a lot of skills, time and patience. He has collected the cans and bottles from his friends and food stalls or bought them from scrap dealers. Among many furniture items made from cans and bottles in his house, Binh loves his bed the most. He made it several years ago to mark his wedding anniversary. Binh said making things from empty cans and bottles not only provides creative and useful furniture for his family but also contributes to protecting the environment.
