(VEN) – A report by the people’s committee of the southern resort city of Vung Tau shows that more than 2.9 million tourists visited the city in the first half of 2018, including 315,000 foreign tourists.
In the early months of this year, the city of Vung Tau launched diverse programs and organized festivals to stimulate demand for tourism services, especially on the holidays, including the Lunar New Year (Tet). Drunkenness has been forbidden in public places and beaches. Local residents have been encouraged to throw garbage in the right places, as well as to take care of and protect green trees. These measures are aimed at maintaining environmental hygiene and ensuring safety for tourists.
