Vietjet launches Hanoi-Taichung air service By Le Anh HCMC – Vietjet has begun operating five weekly flights connecting Vietnam’s capital city of Hanoi and Taiwan’s city of Taichung to meet traveling demands on this route and contribute to promoting regional trade and tourism. The first passengers on Vietjet’s Hanoi-Taichung flights were welcomed at Noi Bai International Airport and Taichung International Airport on June 22, and given gifts while traveling. The 2.5 hour Hanoi-Taichung flights are operated on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Flights departing from Hanoi take off at 1 p.m. and arrive in Taichung at 4:30 p.m. (local time), whereas return flights leave Taichung at 5:30 p.m. (local time) and land in Hanoi at 7:20 p.m. With the Hanoi-Taichung air service, Vietjet remains the airline with the most flights between Vietnam and Taiwan. Other flights to Taiwan include HCMC-Taipei, Hanoi- Taipei, HCMC-Kaohsiung, Hanoi-Kaohsiung, HCMC-Tainan and HCMC-Taichung.
