Charity Cycle Adventure to raise funds for disadvantaged children and young adults Kieu Giang By Kieu Giang – The Saigon Times Daily Saigon Children’s Charity CIO (SCC) has unveiled a program for the 6th Annual Charity Cycle Adventure (CCA) aimed to raise funds for disadvantaged children and young adults in Vietnam. Tim Mullett, chairman of the organizing committee and director of SCC, said he is inspired by the team’s commitment to make a difference by their effort not only to ride for three days of the adventure but also help raise funds through individual sponsorships. “I undertook to do the ride myself this year and I am excited to take part and raise funds for SCC. I think it will be very difficult and probably painful, but will all be worthwhile to help the children we support,” he said. This year, participants will have to complete 300 kilometers in just three days, from November 27 to 29. They will travel in the beautiful mountains of Buon Ma Thuot, through the scenic town of Dalat and finish in the beach resort of Nha Trang where riders have a dinner at the Evason Ana Mandara. Launched in 2010, the CCA has raised over US$200,000 to support disadvantaged children and young adults in Vietnam. Over the past five years, CCA has welcomed a range of enthusiastic cyclists from all over the world who, in total, have ridden over 1,000 kilometers.
