Each phase of the project focuses on the ugly behaviour of the Vietnamese people such as looting, litter, crowds lined up.
And each stage is a propaganda campaign to increase awareness and call for change in creative ways, which combines online and offline activities.
The project sets a target of developing Vietnamese people to live better, said Nguyen Thi My Hanh, UNESCO Centre for Culture and Education Director.
Under the project, which theUnited States’ humanitarian organisation Atlantic Philanthropies funds 7million USD and the province contributes the remainder, all 101infirmaries with advanced equipment will be built and put into in theearly next year. These are expected to help improve the effectivenessand quality of the check-up and treatment in the locality. The 85 million VND project is funded by the Australian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City. In March, the project will install sinks and launch communicationcampaigns on safe and effective water use at five secondary schools inthe province. Students will be taught how to washtheir hands properly and join interesting activities related to cleanwater and the environment. The 1.3 million USD project began inJune 2011, with the aim at strengthening the participation of ethnicwomen in tourism activities. In three years ofimplementation, it has helped develop the traditional brocade craft inQuang Nam’s remote districts. Now local brocade products not only servevisitors to the province but are also sold at many tourist sites inother localities, including Hanoi and the central city of Da Nang. Funded by the Bill and Melinda GatesFoundation (US), the project spans 40 provinces nationwide. In the firstphase, 12 provinces benefited from the project.
