The week-longevent, which opened on December 29, is co-organised by the provincialDepartment of Trade and Industry and the Vietnam InternationalExhibition and Fair Company (VINEXPO).
On displayat 250 booths are a wide range of products from wooden furniture,household utensils, food and foodstuff to machinery and handicrafts.
According to the Department, the fair aims to continue responding tothe “Vietnamese prioritise using Vietnam goods” campaign whileadvertising the locality’s typical agricultural products and stabilisingthe prices of some necessities for Tet.
It also offers a chance for local producers and businesses to promote their trademarks and seek partners.
The province should mobilise and make the most of all resources to develop its socio-economic infrastructure system, said Mr Hung at a meeting in Tuyen Quang City on October 29 to mark the province’s 180th anniversary. Working with provincial authorities during a visit on August 14, Mr Dung said Tuyen Quang should apply technological advances in agro-forestry and fisheries to increase output and the quality of products and help farmers earn stable incomes. He urged the province to iron out snags in business and production and effectively implement government measures to prevent an economic slowdown.
