PANO – As one of the task forces of Military Zone 9, the River-Crossing Battalion 4 of Engineering Brigade 25 has missions of conducting training, combat readiness, flood and storm control, search and rescue, and ensuring traffic access in the Mekong River Delta.
Over the past years, the battalion has helped local people cope with natural disasters. This unit has been recognized for many consecutive years as a unit with good training and outstanding fulfilment of assigned tasks.

PANO - Engineering Battalion 93, under Engineering Corps, has been assigned a special mission to quickly deploy high combat forces to help control and address natural disasters and terrorism, as well as search and rescue (SAR). PANO - Battalion 73, under Tran Quoc Tuan University, has been one of the units offering conventional and specialized training for Lao cadets over the past years. The unit and the university’s teaching board have always ensured good accommodation and study facilities for Lao cadets. Moreover, they often organize routine and outdoor activities to improve the spiritual and cultural life of Lao cadets, in contribution to improve their study quality. PANO - Troops from Engineering Battalion 93 under Engineering Service took part in a Service-launched competition, entitled "Good Unit on Bringing up Troops and Managing Military Supplies", on October 8th, 2012. The battalion competed in 7 contents with a focus on environmental scenery, arrangement of combat readiness, logistics storehouse, military equipment and belongings arranged in kit-bag, level 1 Hoang Cam stove without smoke and three dishes for Tet holidays. PANO – The Mobile Training Battalion of Border Guards’ Headquarters of Ha Tinh Province is training new recruits before handing them over to border posts across the province.
