In2008, “Bi, Dung So” (Bi, don’t be afraid) also directed by Di was fundedwith 50,000 EUR. Four years later, “Dap Canh Giua Khong Trung” (WingingIn The Sky) produced by Di and directed by Vu Hoang Diep continued toget 50,000 EUR from WCF.

Formed in 2004 by one of the biggest film festivals in Europe, BerlinFilm Festival, World Cinema Fund works to develop and support cinema inregions with a disadvantaged film infrastructure as well as films thatcould not be made without additional funding, for example, films thatstand out with an unconventional aesthetic approach, that tell powerfulstories and transmit an authentic image of their cultural roots.
The fund has an annual budget of approximately 400,000 EUR andsupports exclusively the production and distribution of feature filmsand feature-length documentaries from Latin America, Central America,the Caribbean, Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, Southeast Asia andthe Caucasus.-VNA
