PANO – The Vietnam-France Friendship Association in Hanoi and the French Embassy in Vietnam on July 7 launched the photo contest, “Hanoi’s – Paris’s Autumns”, as part of practical activities to mark the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-France diplomatic ties and French National Day (July 14).
The contest is an opportunity for the two nations to have further understanding about the culture and people of each country, making contributions to preserving and promoting bilateral friendship and comprehensive cooperation.
Addressing the launching ceremony, French Ambassador to Vietnam Jean-Noel Poirier espressed his delight at the development of bilateral relations and cooperation especially the programs on infrastructure, energy, transportation and aviation.
The same day, representives from the Association and the Embasssy also joined a friendly football match.

HCM CITY (VNS)— HCM City People's Committee hosted a meeting yesterday to mark the 40th anniversary of Vietnamese-Canadian diplomatic ties and Canada's 146th National Day. The Australia's House of Representatives issued the following news release: Australia and Vietnam have marked 40 years of diplomatic relations with the signing of a new parliamentary agreement in Hanoi.
