Present at the meeting were Major General Nguyen Khac Ngo, Deputy Head of the Political Education and Information Department under the General Department of Politics; Lieutenant-General Phuong Minh Hoa, the Service’s Commander; and Lieutenant-General Nguyen Van Thanh, the Service’s Commissar.
On this occasion, General Phung Quang Thanh, Minister of National Defence sent a congratulation letter to the unit’s winners.
Over the past two years, the Service introduced the contents of the “Learning and following President HCM moral example” movement to the annual political education plan, as well as the party organizations’ activities. “Ho Chi Minh Thought” has been on the curriculum at the Service’s academy and schools since the school year of 2012-2013.
Until now, the unit has completed building criteria for the movement, helping troops easily to learn and follow both during conducting assigned tasks and in their daily life.
In addition, all officers and soldiers, especially the Service’s leaders, brought into play their responsibility in learning and following Uncle Ho’s example. After two years of implementing the movement, the Service saved more than VND 50 billion in electricity, fuel and gas and oil bills; and carried out 177 technique topics and 8 initiatives.
